I enjoy my them as companions, rather than owning them primarily for milk production, but I do like the challenge of competition and showing. Our Sicilian donkeys charm everyone who sees them with their loving personalities and their whinny little voices. We have worked very hard in the last twenty four years to breed a rare dark brown color with an average size of 30 to 32 inches. This spring we have had several beautiful and rare spotted babies born. These little burros will live about 35 years and are almost maintenance free. We take pride in raising top quality animals and our little "Sicilian Miniature Donkeys" are the love of my life. Our herd is now 100+ strong and represents one of the finest miniature bloodlines in the United States.

The Oberhasli
When my daughter and I first were attracted to goats, she fell in love with the uniqueness of the LaMancha. After going to several shows together, I met my first Obershali. I liked their quiet nature and sweet temperament. That first Oberhasli was Flylo-Farms Anise *3M, she earned her Jr. leg and first Milking leg as well as her Milking star before her un-timely death. Through her I learned about milking before daylight; bottle feeding kids; trying to AI when its freezing cold; DHIR; Linear Appraisal; but mostly, how wonderfully loving the Oberhasli are.Like the saying "Goats are like potato chips; you can't have just one!" From that meagar beginning, the herd has grown to 24 animals, and we have moved from an acre homestead on the St. Johns River to the current spacious farm further from civilized folks! The 2008 kidding season was the best year ever!

As a matter of fact, it’s a job in itself. But the satisfaction is worth all the blood, sweat, and tears. For those of you who basically still live in a city environment we have some great photos of why we love our little pig farm. If you have been fortunate enough to see a chicken hatch or watch a pig give birth then you know where we are coming from. The Bos-Taurus Senepol breed was first developed around 1900 in St. Croix, in the American Virgin Islands. There was no doubt there was a need for animals that could adapt to tropical weather conditions. he Red Poll breed genetics were added to improve fertility, docility, milk production, meat softness, red hair uniformity, body size and the hornless.

Seely’s Ark currently houses about 600 producing does, with about 6000 rabbits in-house at any given time. Because careful breeding is important for efficient weight gain and a quality product, Beth maintains purebred lines of three varieties to crossbreed for production stocks: First, she breeds a New Zealand White mother to an Californian father to create production does with added hybrid vigor and strong mothering instincts. She then breeds these to an Altex terminal sire, adding rapid growth and meaty body type. Any culls from the breeding program or unwanted cross-bred males join the triple crosses to be grown out for meat. She sells a small quantity of purebred stock to other producers and is considering supplying crossbred does to producers who find it difficult to manage a breeding program, but can handle the simpler operation of raising meat animals.

The Netherland Dwarf breed was first produced in the Netherlands in the early 20th century. Small Polish rabbits were bred with smaller wild rabbits, after several generations the resulting animal was a very small domestic rabbit available in a wide variety of colors and patterns. Netherland Dwarfs were first imported into the United Kingdom in 1948. In the 1960s and 1970s the United States imported its first Netherland Dwarf rabbits. The breed was accepted by the American Rabbit Breeders' Association in 1969 using a modification of the British standard.

One day at work someone asked me what I wanted to be doing in 10 years. On a whim, I said own a llama farm. That was ten years ago and now my husband and I have a small farm in the hills of Central Florida. We call our place "Turtle Run" because of the gopher tortoises that also live here. We have chickens (llama buddies) living free-range with the llamas to eat the bugs in the pastures and help compost the llama beans.
